Practice Manager
GDC no. 218764
In 2010 I began my Dental Nursing career whilst studying at Liverpool Dental Hospital. I am always keen to expand on my dental knowledge, I have successfully gained two post qualifications; Oral Health Education and Dental Radiography.
Before joining McGrath Dental, I took a break from the dental world and supported healthcare students across the North West. I found this a very rewarding job, but knew that I would always return to dentistry.
I joined McGrath Dental in 2016 and progressed to a Treatment Coordinator role. I then became Business Development Manager; engaging with external stakeholders and helping to develop our referral process alongside supporting and developing our team. I am now looking forward to the new challenges ahead as Practice Manager.
Outside of work, my time is spent with my husband and two children on adventurous family days out!
Lead Dental Nurse
GDC no. 209201
I have worked in Dentistry since 1986. Although I only joined McGrath Dental in January 2023, I had worked with the team for some time in my previous role as a Compliance Manager. I attended the practice on numerous occasions to inspect it and ensure all compliance aspects were being followed. Obviously, I knew the practice very well and was aware of the excellent reputation Liam and the practice had; when a vacancy became available, I jumped at the chance to join the team. During my long career, I have worked with some amazing Clinicians, Specialists and Colleagues, which have given me the opportunities to develop my range of knowledge and skills. I confess, I am a dental “geek” and really enjoy courses to improve my professional development.
I have successfully gained qualifications, including Dental Radiography, Oral Health Education, and Teaching/ Assessing Dental Nurses but my proudest qualification was gaining a Foundation Degree in Oral Health Science from Chester University in 2016.My special interest in dentistry is working with fearful, anxious and dental phobic patients. I have studied Hypnotherapy and Relaxation Techniques and I am currently working towards a Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, to help support our most anxious patients.
Outside of work, my husband and I are working on our recently purchased 1930’s house in Greasby, which we are fully restoring. My time to chill is spent walking our little dog Randy (he’s is cross yorkie / chihuahua and rules my life). I also love photography and enjoy taking pictures of beautiful architecture, nature, sunsets and sunrises.
